Overview
We are supporting an established engineering and plant-construction company in the process industry in the search for a Technical Project Manager.
In this role you take overall responsibility for the technical scope of plant projects from project start through engineering, construction and commissioning. You lead interdisciplinary project teams and act as the central technical contact for customers, internal departments and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the technical part of process-plant projects from concept to commissioning
- Plan and control technical scope, schedule and budget together with the commercial project manager
- Coordinate the work of internal engineering disciplines and external engineering and construction partners
- Review and approve technical documents, specifications and supplier documentation
- Prepare and lead technical meetings with customers, suppliers and authorities
- Support risk assessments and ensure compliance with legal and company standards
- Coordinate construction and commissioning activities on site together with local teams
- Identify risks and issues at an early stage and define corrective actions
- Report project status and key figures to management and stakeholders
Your profile
- Degree or completed technical education in engineering (for example mechanical engineering, process engineering or electrical engineering)
- Several years of experience in project management or sub-project management for industrial or plant-engineering projects
- Good understanding of 2D and 3D engineering documentation (for example AutoCAD or similar tools)
- Experience in coordinating different engineering disciplines and external partners
- Structured and methodical working style with a strong sense of responsibility
- Very good communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers and suppliers
- Experience with site activities such as installation supervision and commissioning is an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
- Good English skills; German skills are an advantage
